IT'S A GIRL!

Hey y'all~

We found out today that my "little guy" is a GIRL! She must be so insulted that I have been referring to her as a him this whole time! ;) We are of course thrilled even though we both thought it was a boy (Jonathan claims that in the very beginning he thought it was a girl, but he changed his vote). The best part is all the cute little outfits we (I) will dress her in. :)

So, I have to say that of all the people I asked what they thought it was going to be, the ones who claimed to have a "feeling", said girl. In fact, her Grandma Claudia and Cousin Jack called it immediately (my mom asked Jack, at the time an 8 month old, what he thought and he said "gah").

Now we can narrow down all our baby names to girl names.... Any ideas? Don't forget it has to start with either "M" or "S".

Love you all! -C

I can feel the baby!

Update: I have just started to be able to feel the baby. It feels like something is swimming and twisting around in there and it is so cool! It is really starting to feel real now. :)

We Are Reading

We are reading the Baby Blum Blog. I just keep forgetting how to post comments. I hope this becomes one. Keep posting and make sure to put in lots of pictures.

So, yes that is me looking VERY over-heated after the 5K. It was pretty hot and humid yesterday, so that is not the best picture of me, but I am still pretty proud of myself for finishing- it was much harder than the last 5K.

ANYWAYS... update on baby blum: We went to the doctor on Wednesday and met one of the doctors that could deliver the baby. Unfortunately my regular doctor doesn't do deliveries, so we have the choice of the office's main doctor, the midwife, and a new doctor that will be starting mid-July. So, we decided to meet all three to make our decision. My preference would be the midwife, but I definitely want to meet them all first to see who I click the best with.

Other than meeting the doctor, we got to see the peanut and hear his little heartbeat. All seemed to be good and normal. He was so scrunched up in there, it looked like he needs a little more room to stretch out. But, of course he looked cute and long and the pictures they took do NOT do him justice. He is kind of like a great sunset- you have to see it in person to understand how beautiful it is. :)

And finally, on our next doctor's appointment (June 30th), we get to find out the sex!!!! I can't wait. So, after that I can refer to him as either him or her and it will be real!

So, until then, I will post pictures of my bump as soon as I get a real one. Right now it is just a pudge and not that cute. But, I am feeling great and happy, so that is nice.

Love, Carisa
